History
The Rashtrakuta Dynasty ruled Karnataka from 700AC to 1000AC. Amoghavarsha the , a prominent ruler of The Rashtrakuta dynasty ruled Karnataka from 814AC to 878AC. He was honoured with the titles “Nrupathunga”, ”Veeranarayana” and “Athishaya Dhavala”. A court Poet named Sree Vijaya wrote the first scripture calledKavirajamargain kannada language. This is the first scripture to be found in Kannada. The poet has mentioned that Karnataka was spread from the river Cauvery to the river Godavari . Kurithodadeyum Kavya Prayoga Parinatha Mathigalmeans that they were so clever and wise that they could verbally compose poems without being literate. He has glorified the culture of the people and the state, the poets and the writings in his scriptures. The state’s geographical boundary is first time mentioned in his scriptures. The Kannadigas have attributed the title Nrupathunga to King Amoghavarsha the first with pride and it is a practice to name Nrupathunga in his memory. "Nrupatunga" The true bearer of all the greatness of the language, people, and land is Amoghavarsha the First.

Kannada vikasa educational social-cultural organisation
ಇದು ೧೯೮೦ This institute which started school in Kannada medium took its origin in Gokak Movement for regional Languages during the decade of 1980s by the activists of this movement. The institute’s values and vision transformed into a school that constructively inculcated its values and vision. 1989.
Nrupatunga Higher Primary Kannada Medium School
Later In 1990 Kannada Shaikshanika Samajica Samskrithika Samsthe opened the school in 1990 by initially starting the first standard and then continued to provide education year after year. Its first batch of SSLC wrote the exam in the year 2000. It also took the initiative to provide Yoga, Computer Training, Smart Class, and Spoken English.
Nrupatunga Kannada Medium High School
Nrupatunga Kannada Medium High School was opened in the year 1997. Its concern for the financially deprived people of the society inspired them to provide free education to hundreds and thousands of students under the programs called “ Odige Aasare” and “Odige Aasarege Sarige”. Many people motivated by the institutes' noble thoughts and honest endeavors donated happily to support “Odige Aasare” and “Odige Aasarege Sarige”.
Nrupatunga Kannada Medium Science and Commerce degree college
We are proud to state that this is the first-ever college to teach Science in Kannada Medium in the entire state. It decided to provide Science in Kannada Medium to further extend support and encourage those that want to study in Kannada medium. It also takes a very little fee and doesn’t take donations. The management itself is giving Rs.10000 to the students who opt for science in Kannada medium to encourage the students, facilitate them for the purpose of knowledge and provide a bright future.

Commerce Subjects
ಕನ್ನಡದಲ್ಲಿ ವಾಣಿಜ್ಯದ ವಿಷಯಗಳ ಕಲಿಕೆಗೂ ಅವಕಾಶ.
Commerce is also taught in kannada for the reason that if we study in regional language, we gain knowledge more effectively and faster.

Infrastructure
The college, built in the same premises is new and with spacious classrooms, Laboratories and library. The laboratories are well equipped. It has installed forty computers in a well-furnished computer laboratory. It also has big field where students can play sports.
Nrupatunga cultural Forum
ಸಂಸ್ಥೆಯು “ನೃಪತುಂಗ ಚಿಂತನ ಕಟ್ಟೆ” ಎಂಬ ಹೆಸರಿನಡಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಅಭಿಪ್ರಾಯಗಳ ವಿನಿಮಯಕ್ಕಾಗಿ ೫೦ ಆಸನಗಳ ಮೀಸಲಿಟ್ಟ ಸ್ಥಳವನ್ನು ಹೊಂದಿದೆ ಮತ್ತು ಎಲ್ಲದಕ್ಕೂ ಅಗ್ರಸ್ಥಾನದಲ್ಲಿ, ಕನ್ನಡ ಸಂಸ್ಕೃತಿಯನ್ನು ಎತ್ತಿಹಿಡಿಯಲು ಮತ್ತು ಕಲೆಯನ್ನು ಪ್ರೋತ್ಸಾಹಿಸಲು ೩೫೦ ಆಸನಗಳ “ರಮಾಗೋವಿಂದ ರಂಗಮಂದಿರ” ಎಂಬ ತಾಂತ್ರಿಕವಾಗಿ ಅತ್ಯಂತ ಸುಸಜ್ಜಿತವಾದ ರಂಗಮಂದಿರವನ್ನು ಹೊಂದಿದೆ.
